We offer a variety of exams and tests to best serve our clients.
Retinal Photography
A coloured digital photograph can be taken of the back of the eye for the purpose of documentation and monitoring possible progression of various eye conditions (e.g. diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration).
Visual Field Test
A visual field test provides a map of one’s peripheral vision and is therefore often used to detect possible glaucoma. It is also useful for other conditions such as headaches, stroke, central and/or peripheral retinal disease among others.
Laser Vision Co-Management
Is laser refractive surgery an option for you? We can assess your vision and ocular heath to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure. Laser surgery can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and even astigmatism corrections.
Vision Therapy
Seeing 20/20 is only a portion of the visual process. Deficiencies in eye coordination, focusing and perception can affect your ability to learn or your eye’s ability to function properly. Vision therapy is an individualized treatment used to help patients overcome these deficiencies and decrease eyestrain associated with work and school.
Pachymetry
Pachymetry provides an ultrasonic measurement of the corneal thickness. This test is useful in assessing someone’s risk of developing glaucoma. It is also used to help determine if someone is a candidate for laser refractive surgery.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is an established medical imaging technique that uses light to capture micrometer-resolution, three-dimensional images from within optical scattering media (e.g., biological tissue).
